It hit me today as I trooped it with 2 large bags on 2 buses and 2 trains to my destination, CHIVALRY IS DEAD!For my ride I was basically standing and as I looked up more than 10 women were standing while men sat aimlessly staring into space.What the fuck is going on? I asked myself. It is very rarely you see a gentleman open a women's door,pay for the meal,give her first choice, or even take her to any destination she wishes.
I know I myself get into countless arguments with my hunny when I ask to get taken somewhere which is sad and if you disagree I honestly don't give a fuck because we both know there is something wrong with that.I asked around in my circle of friends and this seems to be something everyone is dealing with whether you are a lesbian,gay, or straight CHIVALRY IS DEAD! Why is it the last time I saw an act of chivalry was with my hunnys 16 yr old sister:she,I, and her best friend(a guy) went to the movies and he not only paid for her ticket but for snacks for her and I. I told my friend Michelle(name changed for security) about this she laughed and said:"if that was me I would've had to pay for both tickets,both set of snacks, and transportation. I took a second and I said ok let me hear the other side of the story maybe there is a logical reason why men are the bitches of today and are incapable of being gentleman...the response I recieved from multiple guys were:"but we say I love you, isn't that enough".I think this quote speaks for itself they are complete fucking idiots, I grew up on the words of my mother stating "love is just a word there needs to be action behind it" and clearly in 2010 the only action is women pulling out their Louis Vuitton,Marc Jacobs,Juicy Couture,Gucci,Fendi,Kate Spade, and Betsey Johnson wallets to pick up the tab.
